Welcome to Hestan Vineyards, producers of the Hestan, Meyer and Stephanie wines. Hestan Vineyards is a family-owned estate with 41 low-yielding acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec planted on the eastern slopes of Napa Valley. From opulent to elegantly finessed, each of our wines pays homage to the artistic interplay between our vineyard’s diverse terroir and our winemakers’ stylistic interpretation. We hope you enjoy our wines as much as we enjoy the opportunity of sharing them with you. – Description from markomkc

  • I am looking for a great 375ml. Open to many suggestions. I might have some cheese and chocolates with. Just want an amazing wine to remember. I am intrigued to something a little older but it does not have to be. Some possibilities:Joseph Phelps Insignia 2002, 2007Rauzan Segla 2005Calon Segur 2000Opus One 1996  Tenuta Dell'Ornellaia Bolgheri Or... Read More

  • I just finished reading 10 pages of very interesting, insightful and articulate posts about the perceived demise of California Cabernet Sauvignon. There was a lot of data contributing to the perception that California is in the middle of a high alcohol "fruit bomb" era.I'm not going to pretend to be Robert Parker Jr., James Laube or even several... • Hestan Vineyards Merlot Napa Valley Stephanie 2006

    Snoothrank:

Strong sassafras reminds of root beer at first whiff, followed by cinnamon and all spice, with presence of blackberry, black cherry, plum, grapefruit, leather, cream cheese, mocha, cedar, celery, clove, rosemary, and grass. Palate opens with pleasing acidity and velvety tannins supporting an intermingling of both red and dark fruit, including c... Read More

  • Hestan Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Meyer Vineyard 2005

    Snoothrank:

Super aromatic with rich dark fruit. Very ripe nose. Smooth, rich and creamy up front. Blackberry, black cherry, wild berry with subtle hints of anise and mocha. Velvety rich and decadent, but not unbalanced. Polished tannin. Nice structure throughout and great finish!- Tasted at Marché Bacchus 9/18/10 Read More

  • Hestan Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Meyer Vineyard 2005

    Snoothrank:

Unresolved collision of spice and fruit on the nose through the first half hour, resulting in medicine-like overtones. These dissipate at one hour, allowing the emergence of fruit and oaky aromas. Blackberry and spicy flavors on the palate are brightened by zingy acidity. Cocoa surfaces in mid-trip at two hours, with fruit lingering at the en... Read More

  • Hestan Stephanie Red Napa Bordeaux Blend 2005

    Snoothrank:

Intense aromas of blackberry, plum, black cherry, and cloves, with a touch of mocha, make a seductive entry on the nose. A pleasant acidity adds immediate zing to the attack in the mouth. Tastes unfold over one, two, three and four hours, bringing powerful spells and fresh arrangements with strong fruit, herbal, chocolate, and floral phases. ... Read More
