Our estate vineyard experiences cool foggy nights and bright sunny days, the perfect climate for the 12 acres of Pinot Noir, 13 acres of Chardonnay, and 5 acres of Gewürztraminer planted there. All of our Estate Chardonnay and sparkling wines are produced entirely from estate fruit, as are most of our reserve Pinot Noirs. Because vineyards in Anderson Valley are interspersed with homes and watersheds, Milla made the decision apply for organic certification, and the Estate Vineyard was CCOF certified in August 2005. José Jimenez, our Estate Vineyard manager, Kristen Barnhisel, our co-winemaker, and Bill Oldham, our consultant, work together as a team to keep our vines thriving. They use compost and mineral supplements to build the soil, thus fostering stronger plants that are less susceptible to disease. They avoid using pesticides and herbicides, allowing beneficial insects to flourish.

This has on off-putting bit of egginess right up front, a bit reminiscent of the Tomago sweet egg omelet used in sushi! Its a bit sweet with a powdered sugar and vanilla tone over perfumed pineapple and pear fruit. The entry shows a bit of that same sweetness with soft acids offering gentle support to the silky, bright, citrus and unripe aprico... Read More

Not a subtle rose sparkler, as the deep salmon color gives away from the start. Brimming with strawberry and raspberries balanced by a creamy, nutty richness. This will age very well. I have one stored away for a special event. Read More

I enjoy a wide variety of wines, but I really start to swoon over delicate and flavorful styles. You can't beat this area's dry Gewurtztraminer. If anyone would like some insider info on the region I've got advice on some great spots. And of ... Read More

After drinking this, I can't remember why I purchased it. Devoid of the lovely floral Viognier bouquet, and the finish was too astringent. Read More
