Starting at $27.40 Snoothrank: 4/5An off dry, Kabinett level wine. Excellent acidity keeps it in balance, and even gives it notes of limes and quince. There is some nice smokey, oily-ness to the wine and this then fades to a nice tart finish. Very nice.
If you prefer Rieslings on the sweeter side you might want to focus on the warmer regions of Germany, The Pfalz and Nahe, in lower acid vintages, such as 2003. Even if a wine doesn't have more sugar lower acidity can give...
