Miljenko “Mike” Grgich first gained international recognition at the celebrated “Paris Tasting” of 1976. The results stunned the international wine establishment and immediately earned Mike a reputation as one of the greatest winemakers in the world. Now 87 years old, and still sporting his signature blue beret, Mike was inducted into the Vinter Hall of Fame in March 2008 in honor of his many contributions to the wine industry. • Grgich Hills Cellars Chardonnay Napa Valley 2012

    Snoothrank:

Very clear yellow color. Some oak on the nose. Nice acid on the tip of the tongue calms my fears about being overoaked. Lots of upfront fruitstone fruit, citrus (lemonish). As indicated, oak is discernible, but it is certainly not over the top. Overall, this is a crisp, refreshing wine. I would compare it to a white Burgundy, but it is on... Read More
