Grand River Cellars Winery and Restaurant is located in the heart of the Grand River Valley Wine Region. Located on the border of Thompson and Madison, Ohio, it benefits from the air drainage located in the higher lands of Thompson, passing over the flat lands of the vineyards, and flowing down into the Grand River Valley basin. With its cool winters and warm summers, grape production is often at its premium allowing for production of premium varietal wines. The effects from Lake Erie also work to extend the growing season. We invite you to share in the winery experience. Whether you are looking for a quiet weeknight dinner or a celebration with music while dinning with family and friends-we are sure you will enjoy Grand River Cellars. – Description from JasminaDragoljevic

The ambient temperature in my region is approximately 55 degrees throughout the day; ideal for harnessing the explosive potential lurking within this vast selection. The tight seal on this cellar door makes for the perfect, dank environment. I have plans to expand later this year. Okay, eno... Read More

  • I began my wine journey mining for hidden gems in little known regions along the east coast of the United States. • Hey everyone, what are some of your favorite 'everyday' or M-F types of wines to accompany a regular dinner?  I personally have enjoyed the Montoya Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa, and I usually pick it up from Total Wines out here in Virginia.  This is one of those fruit-forward cabs that isn't too complex for me to appreciate, and it usually cost...
