Grace Patriot Wines on Snooth

  • Lewis Grace Viognier 2009

    Snoothrank:

A lovely dry silky smooth wine from the Rhone region of France. It is pale straw in color with a huge floral, peachy aroma in a medium body. The flavors carry through and bloom in the mouth with apricot and honey. By recommendation, I had this wine with friends at the Sierra Nevada House for dinner. I paired it with their dish Shrimp and Andouil... Read More

  • Hip Hip Rose NV

    Snoothrank:

I typically steer away from white or pink wines but was surprised by how much I enjoyed this fun Hip Hip Rose. Crisp, fruit forward, and refreshing with a fragrant nose of strawberry and citrus. We had this chilled on the boat and it was a definite crowd pleaser. Read More

  • Lewis Grace Pinot Noir 2009

    Snoothrank:

This is an estate Pinot Noir which is extremely unusual for the area. I was told this block has a small microclimate where cold air pools and the vines are constantly in the shade on the northern slope. Cherry and violet aromas with hints of delicious dark chocolate. Complex and well balanced. Extremely light and enjoyable! Read More

  • Lewis Grace Patriot Tempranillo 2006

    Snoothrank:

This estate wine has a highly perfumed nose of lychee and subtle oak. The palate is juicy summer berries, white pepper, and orange rind. The aromas and flavors of this wine are surprising and exotic. From my experience, this style Tempranillo is characteristic of the ones I tasted in the Rioja region in Spain. It is a sophisticated wine that pai... Read More

  • Lewis Grace Patriot Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

    Snoothrank:

The mouth is a cherry bomb followed by cranberry and well integrated oak. The lingering cherry finish reminds one of what Cab should be about. It's no wonder why this Cab got a gold and best of class at the California State Fair! One of my favorites! Read More

  • Lewis Grace Syrah 2006

    Snoothrank:

After tasting this wine at Riva Grill in Lake Tahoe, I was compelled to take the short trip down the mountain to experience their wines for myself. What a surprise to find a family winery with an excellent array of big, robust, and well balanced reds! The 06 Syrah has accents of blackberry, maple, and juniper berry. The palate is unctuous and fle... Read More
