Established in 1994, Glen Fiona (Gaelic for "Valley of the Vine") was Walla Walla valley's first producer of premium Syrah and Rhone-style wines. Established as a winery with a single focus, the production of premium Rhone-style wines, Glen Fiona has since expanded by offering wines made in the Bordeaux tradition. Each of Glen Fiona’s wines create several distinctive temptations for the palate and conveys the inimitable character of its particular terroir (special characteristics attributed to a sense of place) of the Walla Walla or Columbia Valleys. – Description from Dragac

Notes of spice, tobacco and tannins that are noticeably dry and constant but not intrusive. Price is amazing at around $10 dollars. Word of notice: Let this one breathe or decant if possible as the flavor will deepen and open to a ... Read More

I figured since I'm new to the cellaring game, it might be fitting to find some talented wine by some talented young makers/wineries to start the ball rolling. Perhaps there are some bargains to be had at the same time?? I... Read More
