  • Hi all!!!  I want to buy four bottles of red that are not blends.  I want a cab that is a classic cab.  One that really pops in mind when you think of what a classic one is.  I need the same for Merlot, Pinot and Syrah.  I am going to perform my own blind tasting experiment to really nail down the nuances of each and differences between them.Oh ... • Georis Sauvignon Blanc Monterey 2008

    Snoothrank:

Straightforward Sauvignon Blanc displaying a somewhat more conventional flavor profile - grapefruit, melon - than the 2007. Good, clean wine, but at least double the cost of many other Sauvignon Blancs of equal quality. Read More

  • Georis Sauvignon Blanc Monterey 2007

    Snoothrank:

Tangy, smokey Sauvignon Blanc that shows good viscosity along with an assertive personality. Bitter herb notes along with tart grapefruit and grassy/melon flavors. Almost oily mouth feel; good ripeness. Good overall, but not memorable, especially for the price tag. Read More

    Snoothrank:

This is a difficult single varietal to do (at least in CA), and thus why Georis takes its time between releases....I tasted this wine a few days ago. I am partial to Georis Cab Francs, and have been made to wait for this one! But happy I did, as this is a great wine. A beautiful dark ruby color, first taste is restrained currant/berries, foll... • Just bought a case of the 2007 Cabernet Franc after tasting this weekend. It is wonderful! It is a beautiful dark ruby in color, and tastes of raspberries/currants. Yet there is a terroir to this I love! An earthy, ever so slightly smokey undertone. Love this wine. It finishes nicely, and tastes in the Loire style of Cab Francs. I have be...
