Gerardo Cesari, as a real initiator, when in 1936 founded the company, he became the creator of the soul, which embodying a care for tradition, his successors continue and encourage today, as an expression of distinction with the very same passion. The vineyards situated in the gentle hills in the province of Verona, as S. Pietro in Cariano where 40 company-owned hectars give birth to the Amarone. In the early sixties Gerardo’s son Franco became directly involved in the company. This event was accompanied by exports to foreign markets, first England then Germany and, in the following years, to larger and prestigious international markets. The range of classics like Amarone, Valpolicella, Bardolino, Soave was extended to include other vines of international reknown as Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet, all coming from 100 hectares of vineyards, partly owned by the company and in part by other winegrowers who operate under the careful control of Cesari’s agronomists.
