Frei Brothers Reserve
Frei Brothers Reserve is a winery based in Sonoma, California. The grapes are sourced from vineyards throughout the region such as Alexander Valley, Russian River Valley and Dry Creek Valley. All aspects of cultivation and production are certified organic and sustainable. From the website:
*For every acre of land we plant in vineyards, we set aside one acre to be preserved as natural wildlife habitat.
*When we expanded our winery, we chose to transplant a row of 13 mature redwood trees rather than cut them down.
*We are focused on continuous improvement. For example, we capture and reuse rainwater. *Currently 80% of wastewater is reused.
*We are currently working to leave a lighter footprint through our packaging, so we are exploring new components that use less glass per bottle, recycled materials for our labels and shippers, and recyclable capsules.

Wonderful aromas of cherry, currants and spice. Very nicely balanced with soft tannins and a peppery finish. I paired this with the Bucatoni recipe here at Snooth, and it worked very well.
