Franzia is a wine brand known for its “WineTap” box wines, out of the Yosemite area of California. The brand is named for Teresa Franzia, who founded the winery in 1906. The box wines began in the 1970s and were an instant success. The wines are available in 3 and 5 liter cartons, offered in a wide range of styles in white, red and rosé as well as sangria, Sunset Blush and other blends.

  • Hi there,                 My 30th is coming up in March. One of the things I've wanted to do since I was about 6 is to drink a red wine from the year I was born (81).  I don't have the type of money to blow 1000's of dollars on a wine or buy a case to ensure the wine is about to peak (probably a bit late to do that anyway).  Does anyone have any... • I am sure this will be a taboo subject, but with the economy the way it is, does anyone have suggestions on a good (read acceptable) box wine? I vacillate between reds and whites, but tend to shy away from really heavy reds as a "daily drink". I know it may be too much to ask (or for some to admit), but any suggestions would be appreciated.Mike Read More
