Franzia is a wine brand known for its “WineTap” box wines, out of the Yosemite area of California. The brand is named for Teresa Franzia, who founded the winery in 1906. The box wines began in the 1970s and were an instant success. The wines are available in 3 and 5 liter cartons, offered in a wide range of styles in white, red and rosé as well as sangria, Sunset Blush and other blends.

  • Fleur de Mer Cotes de Provence Rose 2006

(NV review). I really should know better by now than to fully read the label ... infused flavours. Truth is, Franzia's Zinfandel wine in a box has this beat on all accounts. "Flower of the Sea" is dry, tart, light, and unless you want to impress someone with basic French vocabulary, there's not much of a point of ponying up the extra cash. ... Read More

  • Franzia Chilable Red 5000 NV

I'm no wine snob, I drink Franzia Cabernet Sauvignon regularly, and I like the Merlot as well. I don't like this. AT ALL. Sorry but I just found it nasty, nasty, nasty. I choked down two glasses and put the rest of the huge box directly in the garbage can. I tried it slightly chilled, maybe if it was really cold it might be less objectionable, b... Read More

  • I love your Chardonnay. I have been drinking it for many years now. I just got a new box, and the spout was not where it should be. I am disabled, and went through a lot of pain to open the top of the box to turn the bag around. Today I am not a happy customer.

  • Here's the funny thing:  For just a minute, Napa Ridge Cab was made ... ... to the confusion.  Franzia sometimes bought up labels that had some history or a reputation.  (His company is called Bronco, because the Franzia name was bought by Coca Cola and sold to The Wine Group.  So there's lots of history and responsibility for bad wine coming... • I just purchased a box of Sangria and the bag was upside down in the box. We opened the box and turned the bag the right way, but it won't position right so that it comes out of the spigot evenly. I am very disappointed that there is no contact informaton on the box. Is Franzia hiding?
