The 2010 Cab Franc is slightly richer, more balanced with spinach, damson, and a hint of cola on the nose. Significant residual tannin on the palate with flavors of spinach, plum and white pepper predominating. A very well made wine similar to Washington State examples of this variety. This is my second tasting of the Fort Berens Cabernet Franc and the inviting, round full coffee and plum flavours are now out in full force with some gritty tannin in evidence.
