The nose was short and a bit stifled. The fruit was shallow in the front and the tannins were intense. It probably could have used a few more years aging and a good food pairing.

4 glasses. Had it with steak, porc aux champingnon a la Julia Child and Hebrew National hot dogs, a unique mixed grill, on Labor Day. Everyone loved it.

Great wine with eggplant parmigian.Nice nose, especially after an hour of decanting. Available now at Whole Foods for less than $11.00!!
I love this wine. I searched long and hard for a distributor with a case of it. Someone gave me a bottle of it in SC and I was unable to find it anywhere there. I was thrilled when Pop's had it and had a case of it...
Enjoyed with dinner vs. tasting - outstanding when paired with mushrooms in roasted garlic puree with red mother sauce and Veal San Georgio. A fruit-forward, floral gem with a long finish and extremely food-friendly.
Cheese and Grapes
Great Italian wine. A tad more fruity than earthy, medium to full bodied. Great with baked ziti.
