As nursery owners in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Walt and Joan Flowers had long dreamed of combining their love of wine with their passion for agriculture. • There are lots of wine brands out there, but only some can be called iconic. These brands shape winemaking in a forward-positive direction. They lead the charge on new initiatives and dare to be different. They are established purveyors of consistent quality. Just a few weeks ago I had the opportunity dig deeper into an icon of this type. Villa ... Read More

  • Here in the United States we are on a first-name basis with our wine grapes. The majority of casual wine drinkers understand what “Merlot”, “Moscato”, and “Cabernet” mean. Nowadays “Pinot” and even “Riesling” are familiar pals too. This is largely because the United States and other New World regions label their wines by varietal rather than geo... Read More

These wines are made with the Glera grape and fermented in s... Read More

  • Happy Halloween, wine lover! This hallowed holiday isn't just for kids. Adults can and should enjoy their favorite Halloween candies with a little bit of wine. • I actually know most of the wines. And I'd go with Hungarian wine since that's what the food is. It's not like there's any magical pairing mind you, but what the hell.I'd start with the goose and pork pate.
