Having been initiated at the beginning of my wine tippling into the traditional white-for-fish, red-for-meat school of thought, I've since found that several reds and roses can work just fin... • Son Bordils Negre Vino Tinto 2003

    Snoothrank:

One of of the least heralded, least known amazing wines I've had to date. No one seems to know this treasure of a wine from Mallorca. The color is pale ruby with an aromatic nose of dried herbs, red currant, dusty leather, and dried cranberries. The palate has a distinct salty minerality, with plum and red currants. This blend is dry, medium bodi... Read More

  • Finca Son Bordils VI de Taule de Balears 2003

    Snoothrank:

Cabernet with a touch of Mantonegro this vintage. Brown rim around deep purple core. Nose of Vanilla, chocolate and clove. Strong tannins in the mouth and very fine. Flavors of currant, pepper, and oak. Pretty straight forward Cabernet, possibly with the ability to develop further. 3/5 [NR] Read More

  • Finca Son Bordils VI de Taule de Balears 2004

    Snoothrank:

Strong bright floral notes followed by peaches. Fully dry and quite thin with a medium acidity. The great nose on this made me hope for more, but they don't seem to follow through on the palate. 2.5/5 [NR] Read More

  • Finca Son Bordils VI de Taule de Balears 2004

    Snoothrank:

Light golden. Nose of creamy walnut and vanilla oak. Light body with low acid, kind of flabby. The fruit doesn't shine really with more oak and muted pineapple. 2/5 [NR] Read More

    Snoothrank:

Merlot, Callet, Mantonegro, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Monastrell - 14 months in Oak Dark reddich brown (chestnut?). The nose is strong green pepper, with jalapeno and dark fruits. Med weight in the mouth with asoft frim tannin and medium acid. Good currant fruit, mint, pepper, and more. Very different but I think I could get used to it. 3/5 [NR] Read More
