For me, it is the Paitin Langhe Starda 2005. Paitin is known for their old-school Barbarescos, but this is one of their "entry-level" offerings being about 80% Nebbiolo and 20% Barbera. Rich and intense berry, mocha flavors. Not overbearing. Velvet, opaque color. Improves when you let it breathe. I have Malbecs at 4-5 times the price that don't come close to this. Some say a great buy, I think it is a steal. Read More
