Finca La Celia was founded in 1890, when Eugenio Bustos, who was later to acquire land in the Uco Valley , starting constructing the winery. His daughter, Celia Bustos, inherited the property and with her strong personality and leadership work these lands to convert them into prosperous vineyards. The Malbec produced at our winery is a clear example of the conditions offered by the Uco Valley to produce excellent wines. In the year 2000, Finca La Celia became the first foreign affiliate of the vineyard San Pedro ( Chile ). The lands were acquired by the company part of the CCU group, leader in the business of drinks (beer, wine, grappa, soft drinks, fruit juices and mineral water). It was in this way that the winery was expanded, restored and equipped with French and Italian technology. – Description from dvoristanac

  • La Finca Oak Aged Malbec 2012

    Snoothrank:

Very interesting, especially considering it cost...wait for it...$4??? Yes. Thanks to Trader Joes. Nice deep violet color with an interesting, minerally and violet nose. Starts out pretty tart, though benefited vastly from being allowed to open up for a minute. Very clear, well-structured and not overpowering cherry flavors and a surprisingly lo... Read More

  • Finca la Celia Malbec Reserva 2005

    Snoothrank:

A solid Malbec from Uco Valley situated in the famous Mendoza Region in Argentina. A beautiful deep red, almost brownish hue to the wine, thick looking like a port but not as expressive on the nose. Mild scent of spice and a touch of sweetness but dont let the smell fool you. On the palate an explosion of spice, Pepper in particular followed by ... Read More

  • Finca la Celia Malbec la Furia 2009

    Snoothrank:

A Malbec with a deep purple color and intense fragrance of black currant, vanilla, and spices. This wine balances between a strong and delicate taste, with noticeable hints of ripe fruits. It is perhaps best served with pasta with meaty red sauces. Read More

  • Finca la Celia Malbec 2006

    Snoothrank:

It has great dark color, but unfortunately any flavor can be hardly felt in this wine. The wine is very dry, and gives impression of being sweet and sour. In it's taste can be felt interesting note of red grapefruit. Read More
