Bodega Faustino was built in 1968 but wine production under the Faustino name began long before that when, in 1861, Eleutorio Martinez Arzok purchased a vineyard in Oyon, Spain.  The vineyard stayed in the family and bottling begin in 1930 by Faustino Martinez Perez de Albeniz.

Bodega Faustino sits on a little over 1,500 acres across the municipalities of Laguardia, Logrono, Mendavia, and Oyon in Northeastern Spain.  By combining local climate and conditions with the tradition and experience of winemakers, Faustino wines are recognized and celebrated all over the world.

Stainless steel tanks and state-of-the-art technologies are combined with traditional processes to create the unique Faustino wines that, after being aged in either American or French Oak, continue to be celebrated.

Wow, what a nose! An exceptionally attractive scent, almond and Carmel with a great complexity. The taste is a bit off as its really not what you expect. Sharp tannins with a bit of acid to the front of the tongue. A good wine, but not worthy of the favorites list. Read More

Dark and earthy on the nose with notes of caramel, tobacco, cocoa, leather and chalk over roasted fruit. Smooth on entry with acidity that is just a touch low by Rioja standards, this is smooth and silky with flavors that are a bit simple. The texture will be very appealing to a broad range of consumers as will the simple vanilla, cherry and toa... Read More
