Elk Cove Vineyards is one of Oregon's oldest and most respected wine producers. Founded in 1974, by Pat and Joe Campbell, our focus has always been to produce hand crafted, Estate grown wines that can rival the best in the world. Estate Vineyards Estate vineyards now cover over 180 acres on four separate sites in the Northern Willamette Valley. Steep south facing slopes, of Willakenzie and Laurelwood soil types with excellent drainage, provide the perfect environment to grow the world class wine grapes that are the basis for creating Elk Cove wines. Proper site selection and meticulous vine management along with harvesting at very low yields creates the concentration and depth of flavor that are hallmarks of Elk Cove wines. Family Owned and Operated Elk Cove Vineyards proudly remains a family owned and operated winery. Winemaker Adam Godlee Campbell joined forces with his parents in 1995 to produce outstanding Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Growing up among the vines on the Elk Read more »

  • Elk Cove Pinot Gris 2013

    Snoothrank:

This is a really tasty Pinot Gris from Willamette. Similar to a high end Napa Sauv Blanc with soft lemon pith, ripe green apple, a touch of white grapefruit, nice mouth feel, really nice acidity, and a fairly long finish. Read More

  • We tend to think of Pinot Noir when we think of Oregon and for good reason. Not only are Oregon’s Pinots outstanding, in a cool climate yet mostly modern style, but lots of people love to tell you about them. Yours truly included. Well here’s something else we should be talking about when it comes to Oregon: white wines. Pinot blanc has been Ore... Read More

  • Elk Cove Estate Riesling 2011

    Snoothrank:

Dry and ungenerous on the nose with faint aromas of key lime pie and apricot glaze topped with a hint of sage. Small in scale and finely focused with a nice clean core of fruit. Dry and moderately acid driven in the mouth this is quite refreshing with modest citrus with and vaguely strawberry flavors but its not complex or particularly deep on t... Read More

  • We're heading back to (my favorite wine region) Russian River the first weekend in October and are looking for advice on what to do and what to expect.  We've been to RRV several times but only during the off season.  Is there anything special we should do at this time of year, and conversely, is there anything we should avoid?
