Elderton Wines is a small, family-owned winery, situated in the heart of Australia’s Barossa Valley that has shot to world acclaim producing some of Australia’s most highly regarded shiraz and cabernet sauvignon.     I have been a fan of Elderton wines for a while.Generally I find that they have a good balance of nose, fruit, weight, and tannin. This Shiraz in particular had a good balance of black fruit and spice. The nuances of clove and vanilla were fun, but an appropriately small part of the whole. Read More
