Ernest and Julio Gallo founded Gallo Family wines in 1933 in Sonoma, California in 1933. Their vision was to establish a brand of quality, affordable wines that “...celebrate the spirit of hardworking American families.” The wines are stamped with a “Best Taste Promise” that guarantees the quality of the wines, inviting to consumers to let them know if they aren’t satisfied with a purchase. In addition to many several brands of wine, E & J Gallo brands also include brandy and gin.

  • Gallo Family Merlot California 2016

I was given this bottle of wine at Christmas but have no idea where my benefactor got it from or any monies paid. It is from the E & J Gallo concern in California USA.I started it last night with my supper of bacon and mushroom pasta bake. There is some plum and blackcurrant style fruit and the tannins are soft but I felt that it lacked structure... • Night Train 2006

Ripe aromas of fig, blackberry and cassis are softened and sweetened by a slathering of oaky chocolate and vanilla. This is full, layered, intense and cushioned on the palate, with rich flavors of chocolaty black fruits and baking spices. A toasty, everlasting finish is heady but ideally balanced. I did end end passed out for 17 hours in a field... Read More

  • Gallo Signature Series Chardonnay Sonoma Coast 2014

Cool peach and green apple aromas with coconut flakes and a hint of dried apricot. Demonstrating a creaminess on entry but quickly throwing some tart lemon and fresh acidity, some golden berry and more green apple towards the finish that has a touch of oak to it. Read More

  • Gallo Signature Series Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands 2014

Pure, floral, fresh and fruity on the nose, this is very cherry noted and inviting. On the palate this continues to show excellent purity of fruit, expressing an elegant and delicate but assertive cherry note that's classic Pinot but also a pleasant herbal earthiness supporting the fruit and adding depth and complexity. Easy drinking and approac... Read More

  • Starborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

A bit understated with moderate fruit and lacks the powerful nose of the best. Good acid balance and good gooseberry nose. Lighter style. My rating-- 86. Read More

  • I love drinking wine. It's probably the best part of my day, actually. Getting home after a long day at work, pouring that nice glass of Merlot, and getting a some baguette with some cheese et fromage. It's my absolute favorite. http://www.brightonauto.com/Repairs__Service_and_Parts.html
