Dylan's Run Vineyard is named after our grandson Dylan who, as a small child, enjoyed running down the vineyard rows. We are a small, family owned vineyard located in the foothills of southwest Eugene, Oregon in the South Willamette Valley. Dylan's Run Vineyard grows two classic varieties of Pinot noir wine grapes, Wadenswill and Pommard. Our pinot noir enjoys the warmer upper slopes of our vineyard site. The lower hillside of our farm features the popular cool climate wine grape varieties Muller Thurgau and White Riesling. In 2003 we released our first estate grown Oregon pinot noir to a very warm welcome. We followed this up with a 2006 Pinot noir. Our pinot noir wines are made from a special block of Wadenswill and Pommard wine grapes that we give special attention to in efforts to make a highly enjoyable wine. All of our wines are handcrafted and certified sustainable. Dylan's Run Vineyard has been certified sustainable since 2001. We continually strive to improve the quality of our fruit Read more »

  • There's a Bob Dylan lyric, "when you think that you've lost everything, you find you can always lose a little more." from It's Not Dark Yet that's resonating tonight. Read More

  • Yeah! It is oyster season in my town. Pick a peck in about 30 min. Best oysters in the world. No bias, no kidding. Wine = anything that is white, dry, French, and Loire or Champagne with an exceptional Chardonnay or Chablis admitted, meeting of course the French criteria. Notice the "spikes".  You will never see those on a restaurant oyster. The... Read More

  • Haven't listened to that album, so thanks. Remember him having Dylan on his TV show, though I didn't watch it all that often. As a footnote that angst got amped up by orders of magnitude over the next couple of years as Janis and Jimi and Jim (what was with the 'J's, anyway?) ended up offing themselves--music seemed a fragile and fleeting thing.... • In this case, a '79 Mondavi Chardonnay Reserve stole the show. Just the fact that it was still upright, despite passive cellaring (another from a previously discussed estate sale my neighbor scored on) was enough to write about. However, this surprisingly gave some real, almost sublime pleasure, despite being on the precipice of oxidation. It dr... Read More

  • Just got this from Garagiste, and have all sorts of weird thoughts.  Like, is this for real?  But more importantly, will Rimmerman succeed in keeping this from going to auction, or is he just rewarding a lucky few who will turn around and sell the most valuable bottles, while others will have overpaid for who-knows-what?  Would it really be wors...
