Using grapes from some of the finest vineyards in the Walla Walla, Yakima and Columbia Valleys, Dunham Cellars has established an award-winning reputation for their wines. When Eric's first vintage, a 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon was released, it was deemed one of the finest wines made in Washington by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Subsequent vintages and varietals have also earned high marks with both wine writers and consumers. Eric shows his artistic side by creating original artworks for all of Dunham Cellars vineyard designated and special bottlings. The winery makes its home in a rustic, remodeled World War II era airplane hangar in Walla Walla, and the future looks promising for Dunham Cellars. The family-owned winery continues to increase production and wine varietals, and has planted estate vineyards in prime locations around the Walla Walla Valley Appellation. Dunham wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Trutina (a Bordeaux style blend), Three Legged Red (a red table wine), Four Legged White Read more »

  • Dunham Cellars Late Harvest Riesling 2012

    Snoothrank:

What a sexy as hell nose packed with incredible perfumes of flowers, treacle, candle wax, tropical fruits and citrus zest all wrapped up in rich honeycomb and botrytis aromas. Surprisingly this is tart on entry, quickly turning sweet, but not overly so while delivering rich tea, green pea, green fruit, papaya, lime, honey, candied nut and pink ... Read More

  • Dunham Cellars Syrah Columbia Valley 2010

    Snoothrank:

Smoky on the nose with a classic array of black pepper, grilled meat, violet, and blue fruit aromas. Opening with nicely integrated spice notes this reveals wild plum and boysenberry fruit on the vaguely sweet entry. Violet, ink and slightly meaty and herb notes lends this a bit of a Northern Rhone feel, though the power on the palate and drive... Read More

  • Dunham Cellars Lewis Vineyard Merlot 2007

    Snoothrank:

Sweet chocolate chip cookie and slightly herbaceous black plum aromas emerge on the nose followed by a profound mocha top note. This is a powerful wine, faceted, yet impressively taut in the mouth with mineral, espresso, and savory notes on entry that are followed by plummy, pie filling fruit on the palate. The savory notes turn spicy in the mo... Read More

  • Dunham Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

    Snoothrank:

Sawn wood, macerated herbs, carob, and a huge stern licorice laced core of black fruit soars from the glass here. The aromas are a touch reticent yet carry with them a very subtle sweetness as well. The entry mirrors the nose with great inner mouth perfumes and that shy sense of perfect ripeness on the palate bolstered by ripe tannins and zesty ... Read More

    Snoothrank:

57% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% SyrahToasty oak and black fruit show interesting firmness on the nose gaining hints of dried herbs, chocolate and black pepper with air. Plush yet nicely underpinned by firm tannins and good acidity int e mouth, the fruit here is a bit tightly strung at this point, revealing the fine lacy structure. It r... Read More

  • Dunham Cellars Three Legged Red 2012

    Snoothrank:

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah that spends ten to eleven months in used oak A bit toasty with some noticeable wood spice underlying raw, tight blue and black fruits flecked with hints of mineral and black pepper. Rather spicy, big, and rich on entry, this shows a nicely structured mouth fell, if on a modest scale with plenty o... Read More

  • Dunham Lewis Vineyard Estate Riesling 2012

    Snoothrank:

Very aromatic grapefruit and passionfruit aromas greet the nose followed by floral notes with with hints of dusty minerals. Huge acids on entry gain a love edge of sweetness on the midpalate which reveals layers of sweet pea, lemon pith, and pineapple flavors that persist on the long, fresh finish. A really zesty blend of gentle sweetness and ... Read More
