Dr. Zenzen is a brand of wines produced in the Mosel region of Germany, named for 1940s proprietor Dr. Heinz Zenzen. The wine labels feature the Apollofalter, a rare species of butterfly that is often found on the walls of the flagship estate. The wines are available in a range of Rieslings from dry to sweet as well as other dry whites and reds.

    Snoothrank:

This wine is severely overpriced compared to the competition. Why would I want to spend $15 for a fancy bottle when I can spend $11-12 for a QmP quality wine elsewhere? The other thing that bothers me about this wine is that it is in fact from the Rheinhessen, and the Canadian distributor, at least, markets this wine as being from the Mosel. ... Read More

    Snoothrank:

Don't waste $19 on this garbage! This is the most bland German Riesling I've ever tried.....it doesn't have any real acidity, mineral likeness or tart granny smith apple flavors....this wine is a perfect example of what NOT to buy when looking for a quality product from Germany. I think it came from the proverbial "wine lake", as it pretty muc... Read More

Cherry red, Great nose, floral, fruity, tannin, slight citrus and a hint of pepper. Surprisingly sweet with a strong red berry flavor, medium body. A bit empty in the middle, but excellent amongst it's price range. Read More
