  • All my scotch friends have special "end of the world" bottles. I suspect that many of us do, too. So, considering that the end of the world is supposed to happen in a matter of days per our Mayan friends, and that happens to coincide with the Christmas season.....what are you planning to open this Christmas?  If the world starts to come apart de... • Hello everyone, and greatings from California. I have only recently staring to drink wine within the last 6 months or so, as i had always been more of a beer and spirits kind of guy. Due to this i'm still tring to find out what styles I like and ones I don't. As my wallet has more moths then bills in it I tend to by wine that is in the $10 or le... Read More

  • Don Pascual Clásico N Navarra Tinto 2009

    Snoothrank:

Actually, it is not from Don Pascual - that is the winery's other line. Pueblo del Sol Tannat has fresh, succulent dark fruits and a smooth yet structured tannin - mid and finish. The screw cap made it easy for us to open it at our folks house without being laughed at for messing up the cork - cause there isn't one....HA ! Thanks Pueblo del Sol...! Read More

  • Don Pascual Tannat Reserve 2008

    Snoothrank:

My first Tannat and I was very impressed. Wonderful aroma of red berries - deep purple color. Surprisingly smooth taste with strong essences of Vanilla and cherry - then, slowly finishing with slight hints of earth, spices and black pepper. Maybe I opened this wine too late, but, the tannins are soft at best, which, surprisingly, did not disa... Read More

  • So...I am very much into soccer and world cup time is special to me, watching all the games. Today semi final Uruguay - Netherlands. I always liked Uruguay, very nice people, kind of a smaller version or Argentina, without the attitude. So as I had some shopping to do in the morning I came over a Tannat from Uruguay that I tried before and liked... Read More

  • Hi, my name is Katie, 'new' to wine, and very new to snooth. I am only 21 but my appreciation for wine is growing every day. I can't go a day with out it, in a good way. I really want to learn all I can and maybe break into the business at some point. As of now, I'm saying CHEERS to my fellow winos and the community we all share! Read More

  • I'm hoping the Snooth community can help me out with some recommendations. I've have had a couple Argentinian Malbec and Malbec blend wines in the last couple of months that I really enjoyed and I was hoping that I could get some recommendations to expand what I've tried. I'm looking up to $50 but realistically more in the $15 to $30 range. L... Read More
