The Lafage Estate is expanded over a little more than 200 hectares, including stretches of heath and pine, 138 hectares of which is cultivated for wine-making. The dwelling of the manor is an ancient stone-built farmhouse located next to the vineyard-fringed road between Perpignan, the former capital of the Kings of Majorca, and the Mediterranean seashore. Hugging the 80 hectares of marine-land, where the now archaeological site of Villarnau was once a mediaeval village, the vineyards of the Lafage Estate dominate the surrounding grapevine. It provides spectacular views of the Albères, an extension of the Pyrenees mountain range, which forms a natural border between France and Spain before plunging into the blue of the Mediterranean. At the entrance of the Estate, a boutique offers wine-tasting and colourful commentaries to wine-lovers passing by. – Description from Nerevar

Reds with consist of a couple bottles of Ca' Momi Rosso Di Napa, which came highly recommended as a crowd pleasing full bodied Napa red and some Seven Falls Cabernet Wahluke Slope from WA. We do have a couple cab ... • Domaine Lafage Tessellae Grenache Syrah Mourvedre 2013

For an AOP Cotes du Roussillons blend, this Domaine Lafage is very good; the scent of the wine is of cassis, cherries in sugar with a hint of orange and cream (like the Creamsicle bar). The entry is smooth and sweet - appropriately, however - with more blackcurrant (cassis) on the palate. Finish is medium, and the wine is perfect for immediate... Read More

  • Domaine Lafage Bastide Miraflors Vieilles Vignes Cotes Catalanes 2013

Robert Parker nailed this one: the 2013 Bastide Miraflors ( a beautiful name for a wine which gives the very approximate meaning of a farm with a view of flowers) has an inviting Syrah nose of cherries, wet earth and bell heather with a light entry of more cherry, some old cigar box and a dollop of sugar. Perhaps due to the vintage, the wine is... Read More

  • Domaine Lafage Cuvee Centenaire Blanc 2013

This wonderful Cotes du Roussillon Blanc from Domaine LaFage is an amazing wine (vinum optimum pro pretio, if my Latin serves). The nose is textured with honey, white fruit such as pear, gooseberry and the entry is complex with more white fruit - acidic but balanced with sufficient viscosity and alcohol. Buy by the case. 91 points. Read More

  • Cotes du Rhone. It’s a surprisingly well known wine in a world where the wines people are generally more comfortable with come with varietal designations as opposed to regional ones. Sure there are Chianti, and Bordeaux, but how many other regional appellations are most people familiar with? And is there any other that is exclusively focused on ... Read More

  • Domaine Lafage Tessellae Old Vines Cotes du Roussillon 2011

Jammy and rich on the nose with lots of almost grapey, black berry fruit thats framed by hints of truffle, black spice and cardamon. Smooth and plush in the mouth, theres enough acid to keep this bright on the palate but this is a rich and seamless feeling wine. The fruit has a nice clear quality to it, transparent wild strawberry and wild berri... Read More

  • I am having great difficulty with this web site. It promises information on food pairing with a wine, the 2005 Domaine LaFage, but I can't, for the life of me, get to any of that information. There is simply no direction to it. Jean Coqtail
