Domaine Jean Bousquet
Domaine Jean Bousquet is an organic winery in Topungato, in the foothills of the Andes Mountains in Mendoza, Argentina. Jean Bousquet was already a successful winemaker from Carcassonne in the south of France in 1990 when he decided to relocate to Mendoza, and went on an extensive search for the ideal vineyard location. In 1997, he finally established himself in Topungato, attracted by its high altitudes (for superior grape balance), climate and rich soils. The wines are available in a line of Premium Varietals (includes Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Torrontes and a Malbec/Cab rosé), as well as Reservas, Grande Reservas and a sweet, late harvest Malbec dessert wine.– Description from Amanda Schuster

Elegant and smooth red fruit notes of raspberry, red currant and black cherry on the nose with candied plum and sweet floral violet aromas. The rich and round palate carries itself assertively with thick and ripe raspberry and cherry flavors, smooth texture and well balanced structure. On the finish this has great length with black fruit flavors... Read More

A very bold wine when it first hits the tongue but fades quickly. I'd recommend this wine for dinner because it won't be overwhelmed by the food. It is heavy, fruity, and for me required a good bit of aeration before the tannins were tamped down to acceptable levels. Read More
Had this at a restaurant in NYC....a lighter, fruitier taste, for a Malbec, that I found very pleasant, especially given the price. Read More
BORING!!! Crystal clear in the glass. No perceivable aromas. On the palate is is almost watery--no fruit flavors at all. A little tartness might be the only saving grace, here. US$12.99 at Costco in Chino Hills Read More
Decent Argentina rose, fairly light in body and flavor with slight touches of strawberry, pomegranate and cherry. Decent acidity but a rather short finish. Read More
