  • You can quote whomever you like.  To my nose, and from my education, you ... acid, ethyl acetate,etc. DO have smells.  But you can't tell how acidic a wine is based solely on smell. Again, I'm not trying to be a jerk.  I just don't want the newbs getting incorrect info

  • I'm all in favour of half bottles or the 50cl bottle.  We use the gas ... it's been opened.  I have just a glass left in the decanter from two days ago and it's smelling great.  Can't wait to finish it off tonight.
