  A very solid and well made Puligny Montrachet with both weight and elegance. This wine is enjoyable now, but I'd really like to see what it's like in 2011 or 2012 with a little more time to allow the wood to integrate and the beautiful tertiary flavors to come out more.

Somewhat atypical tomato juice consistency of the wine upon entry into the mouth - with all the usual strawberry and sweet cherry aroma operating on the olfactory bulbs. This wine is surprisingly dense - more like a Pommard from an average vintage. Definitely a wine aiming above its station. Drinking well now, but will last 3-5 years with prudent cellaring.    (hide)

  Hi Jonn, funny you should mention the Rockblock, our assistant winemaker just ... but sometimes worth it! Domaine Drouhin usually makes some good Pinot and you might be able to get some of it down there. And I'm sure it's a stretch, but look for anything by Patricia Green....
