Domaine de la Vougeraie
Domaine de la Vougeraie was established in 1999 to bring together several extraordinary vineyards acquired over the years by the Boisset family; this union symbolized a new beginning for the vineyards inspired by a profound philosophy of excellence! Jean-Charles Boisset and his sister Nathalie chose to name this new winery after their parent’s house, La Vougeraie, as a nod to the domain’s large vineyard concentration in
their hometown of Vougeot and as well as a tribute to their childhood roots and a challenge for the future.
Convinced that sustainable practices are an essential part of making exceptional wines, the Boisset family chose to shift their farming practices of the new unified
vineyards to biodynamic and organic farming. Since 2006, 100% of our vineyards are certified organic by Ecocert, although the majority had already received their
certification several years before. Biodynamic practices are employed in all of our premier and grand cru vineyards.
