The story of Domaine de Beaurenard can be traced back to at least the 14th century, was bought by the Coulon family in 1695,and is now run by brothers Daniel and Frederik Coulon, many generations later. There are 35 hectares of vines in Chateauneuf-du-Pape and another 25 in Rasteau in several parcels all of which are cultivated organically and biodynamically. They started bottling their own wine in the early years of the 20th century and now produce a range of red, white.rose and fortified wines under the Chateauneuf-du-Pape,Rasteau and Cotes du Rhone appellations .It is regared as a fairly prestigious domaine as it has won lots of awards

  • Domaine de Beaurenard Rasteau Grenat Vin Doux Naturel 2011

I bought this bottle of wine from the website ... an AOC in its own right]Domaine de Beaurenard is a well established producer from this area.My bottle is made from 100% grenache noir grapes and the vinification process was arrested by the addition of grape spirit or brandy[hence an ABVof 16.5%] after which it spent two years in oak barrels, I ... • A ridiculous number of trigger pullworthies in this new offering, many in their absolute drinking prime. Wish the shop was just down the street from me, rather than the ones that are. But then I'd have to live in NYC.  ;-(I love it when a guy drops 100 cases on a shop, just to 'make some space" in his cellar. Wonder what's going to be filling th... Read More

  • Beaurenard Cote Rhone Rasteau 2008

My brackets have failed miserably but my cork can still pull.. Am enjoying a 2008 Domaine de Beaurenard Rasteau. Immense yet elegant fruit with distinctive pepper and nutmeg spice, raspberry, black cherry. Moderate tannins would hold it's own with any leg of lamb....not a baah'd choice. Read More

  • Domaine de Beaurenard Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2005

very good wine but stricting at first, woodsy and forest like, musty leaves and bark, the nose was baked vegetal like, almost like baby food, different than the other vintages, a roundness, wonderfully balances, but still tight tannic structure though, and the palate is a great combo of red/dark fruit. aromas were the most interesting to me, an...
