A little gamy and meaty on the nose with floral and green apple peel aromas over notes of dried lemon peel and gravel. A nice creamy leading edge greets the mouth, followed by nice delineated flavors of pithy lemon peel, lemon, oyster shell and green pear skins. This is well balanced with more intensity of fruit on the backend leading to a clean... Read More

Aromatic with a little wild yeast note on top of floral and soil-driven aromas that frame a little dried fruit base note. In the mouth, this is quite nearly silky, with a lovely innate richness that shows off ripe and rather bold fruit, citrus-driven with hints of Asian pear and perhaps some white peach. There is plenty of acidity here, but tod... Read More

Almost ginger and apple on the nose, this supremely well-made Vaillons has the exactitude and cleanliness we look for in Premier Cru. A wonderful wine at a wonderful price. ... Read More

This rolls across the palate with vibrant acids and a lovely ripeness which adds roundness but not huge volume. The fruit shows hints of apricot, heirloom apple and some almond milk notes all layered over river stones and steel.... Read More

This offers up rather intense aromas of golden raspberry, chalk, steel, lemon zest and hints of peach and green tea. A bit firm yet finely balanced on entry, this shows great cut with wonderfully balanced mineral, yellow fruit and faint herb totes. Theres a walk in the forest quality to the inner mouth perfumes that is wonderfully refreshing. Fi... Read More

Gooseberries from the garden of my Swedish cousins in Hälsingland come to mind - with a little pear and Granny Smith apple hiding off the perimeter somewhere. This wine is delight with perfect balance and some creaminess on the palate with a long, lingering finish. Excellent value; too bad it is my last bottle of this product. Read More

A little skunky on the nose, with some lemon and a little sugar. Juicy green apple flavors - some peach, apricot and a finish of light cream and butter. Read More
