Destiny Bay is a single-vineyard estate located in a small, north facing valley on Waiheke Island. Established in 2000, vines of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot are planted on steep slopes of Waiheke’s cracking clay soils. The amphitheatre shape of the vineyard provides natural drainage and shelter while it captures and retains the sun’s warmth This terroir allows Destiny Bay to produce rich, full-bodied and distinctive blends that stand up against the finest wines from Bordeaux and California. Destiny Bay wines are found on the wine lists of fine restaurants in San Francisco, Chicago, Las Vegas and Auckland and in the private cellars of discriminating collectors. Destiny Bay is a fully accredited "Sustainable Vineyard" and emphasizes old world traditions, new world techniques, and a timeless passion for excellence. – Description from btaylor1
