Deparo Vineyards is the realization of a dream. As a lover of traditional French Burgundies and a fan of California wines from the first sip, it is my goal to produce the best wine grapes in Frazier Valley, Tulare County.
I was born in the Netherlands and have spent more than 30 years in the United States as both a chef and food and beverage director.
I started planting the vineyard in 1998 with merlot and syrah grapes. The winery currently produces about 3000 of the finest Estate Bottled wines
My philosophy is to focus on the individual barrel in order to create elegant wines that express the quality fruit characteristics of the grapes.
I personally sample each barrel throughout the aging process, in an effort to create the perfect wine.
