CYRUS is a wine produced by Alexander Valley Vineyards, which has been in the Wetzel family in Sonoma, California since the 1960s. CYRUS is their benchmark wine, named after regional pioneer Cyrus Alexander. According to Hank Wetzel, “Cyrus is a statement, our ultimate achievement. With this wine, we express our history, tradition, and excellence.” The wines are a Bordeaux blend produced by winemaker Kevin Hall, consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller percentages of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot and oak aged.
