Cupcake Vineyards
Our winery is located in Monterey County, California where warm days give way to cool nights as the fog rolls in off of the Pacific Ocean. It’s this cooling influence that slows the growing process, increasing the time the grapes “hang” on the vine and thereby allow our grapes to mature a little slower than in hotter regions. Slow growth and cool weather leads to a more balanced level of acids and sugars, thereby adding to the complexity and structure of the wines of the Central Coast. This region is poised to become one of the newest and most exciting viticultural opportunities in the coming years. This slow pace continues in our cellar where we take the time to craft wines that are complex, rewarding and hand made. Gentle pressing, cool fermentation, malolactic fermentation, and long barrel aging in small barriques allow us to elevate our wines so that they are rich, creamy and downright delicious. Mellow and very drinkable. Mildly sweet and not sharp. A bit of cream and a touch of honey. Maybe a touch bland. Cupcake is one of my sister-in-law's favorites, and I am getting to like them too. Paid $11 for a bottle.

This is a well extracted, rich style of Chardonnay. It has a good amount of fruit and is of excellent value. Do not order from this winery...total rip off...I ordered over $100 worth of wine at the end of April..and it is now June 2 and I haven't gotten my wine....but guess what my credit card was charged for the wine...I noticed another person posted the same thing happened to them...and they won't respond to any emails that I have sent!!!!!

Never stop making this fabulous,delicious wine! I had this as a gift for Valentine's day and i absolutely am hooked. Sweet, not dry, just right red...just what I was craving for. Absolutely wonderful with steak or chicken or just by itself! It's definitely my top 3! Thank you :)

I recently discovered Cupcake Chardonnay and delcared it as my "newest favorite chard"! Having been a big fan of Domaine Chandon Chard, this rates equally as good and is much more affordable. Cheers to the vineyard and winemaker! Cupcake Girl
