Arnaldo Crociani, carrying on the family tradition, spent his lifetime amongst barrels, bottles and flasks. With dedication and passion he applied his mastery to the art of winemaking, always respecting his father and grandfather’s wishes. After his death, his children Giorgio and Susanna continued that legacy, but also with the influence of youth and desire to share their wines. Their mission is to ensure that the dynasty of Crociani is carried on to the new generation. Now, after the premature death of her brother, Susanna goes on with the same passion that has been the cornerstone of the family business. The vineyards of the Crociani Estate are situated at Le Caggiole, one of the best areas for production, in the heart of the Vino Nobile zone. The vineyards, covering about 10 hectares, are on medium textured soils, well suited to the growth of the vine and producing superb vintages year after year. The grapes are always handpicked and then taken to a cellar close to the vineyard where the grapes are crushed and fermented. The wine is aged in the fourteenth century cellars in the upper part of the historical centre of Montepulciano and in a cellar near the church of San Biagio.

  • Crociani Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva 1999

    Snoothrank:

The nose showed dried red fruits, with undergrowth, hints of green stems and pepper. On the palate, the fruits turned round and sweet as this wine strutted a fine, mature structure with flavors of lush wild berries and spice. The finish is fresh and juicy. Read More
