  • Crane Lake Merlot California 2009

    Snoothrank:

As with all the Crane Lake I have enjoyed a simple merlot that isn't very complex but easy to drink. Read More

  • Crane Lake Sauvignon Blanc United States California

    Snoothrank:

A light a crisp wine, I have to say there's nothing remarkable about it-either good or bad. I actually buy it primarily to have on hand for cooking. In Indiana it sells for about $3.50 a bottle, so I don't worry too much about opening one, and since you're not supposed to cook with something you wouldn't drink, this works perfectly. Read More

  • Crane Lake Pinot Grigio California 2009

    Snoothrank:

Oh man, for a cheap bottle of wine this stuff is good!Best thing is it's good in a glass and good to cook with as well.I'm not wine expert but the Pinot Grigio actually tastes better the longer it sits in your glass and acclimates to room temperature. To find any Pinot Noir at this price with even a slight hint of true varietal character is rare -- and the odds are much higher that a cheap Pinot Noir, as opposed to a Merlot or C... Read More

  • Crane Lake Cabernet Sauvignon California 2008

    Snoothrank:

this is right up there with 2 buck Charles, but I think I like this a bit better, not sure. It goes absolutely no where palatewise, but quite "drinkable" really. Polished off a whole bottle minus one glass with some home made pizza. What the heck, eh, its still a bit of a recession out there, you know, can't always be a wine snob. Read More
