  • Well, yes, I do.  I'll post a more comprehensive list, but for now, I ... my two 2013 Rene Rostaing Cote Rotie Ampodium bottles have arrived.  Other than a few more bottles that are taking a little longer than I imagined they would, they have fulfilled all the orders I have made.  International shipping is not my issue, but I'll add my two cen... I'd have a Hermitage or Cote Rotie with my meal.  I'll try looking up the wine list a different way.At the moment I'm only thinking of myself, not the other guests.  Now I have to go do some work that pays ;)Post script:  I saw the wine list.  I'd go with #16, the Hu... • Haven't put up one of these in awhile. This time will make things more specific and real, in that you will need to imagine you're hosting a meal at this restaurant in London's Soho. It's something I did a few times during my period of busy London business visits at the end of the '80s through early last decade. The first time I sweated a bit bec... Read More

  • Among the sparklers, Jacquesson's GVS beat out the Schramsberg BdN, though ... though I've had their Cote Rotie). Bang-for-buck it was way up there (old vines, reduced yields and impressive concentration, good focus). Definitely a bottle to look for. Couldn't quite compete with the Potel Bâtard, however, other than in fresh, insouciant youthfu... Read More

  • Sounds really worthwhile.  What organization put this on? I do agree ... $50 from there, not so much Cote Rotie or Hermitage, so I've tended to buy from there.  I like St. Joseph, but it's definitely leaner, and I don't hold it.  Crozes is so variable and mostly pretty middling. Be interested to see who all was represented ,and what you tasted...
