Dear Wells, I recently purchased the 2008 Gary's Syrah along with other wines. I opened the bottle last week and was unpleasantly surprized at the results. The wine was totally without any fruit characteristics and seemed dead. I don't believe it was corked as there was no wet newspaper odor or mustiness about the wine, yet it totally seemed...
