Conundrum Wines

What is that wonderfully robust, floral and bright tropical taste? Is it green apple, tangerine or honeysuckle? Could it possibly be apricot, melon, pear or light vanilla? That’s the Conundrum. Our proprietarily blend of California white grapes create a lush, creamy texture that leads to the mouth-watering question, “Mmmm, what’s in there?” We’re not telling. Can you guess?

Conundrum Wines on Snooth

  • Since single varietal wines in the bottle can be a single variety bottling of a clone the question is a conundrum. In the this case the 777 clone was used for this specific site to produce a specific product. Assuming it 100% pinot clone 777 it is both a cloned variety and a bottled varietal.Since blends are another situation the label on the fr... Read More

  • I'll let OT comment on your Explorer conundrum.  ;-)Look forward to hearing, again, about all the good Antipodean (and European) wines you're drinking. Did miss your presence here, something that was commented on more than once.My impression is that the pinot grigio thing in North America and even Europe peaked a while ago. But I have no direct ... • OK not plonk. Just bad wine. That face the lady is making is exactly the face I made when I tried the 40th anniversary bottling. It was worse than the prior vintage someone had poured me a few months before, which was corked! I'm no sommelier either BTW, but a few months ago I was trying some wines to figure out what I would put into a tasting. ... • "....all that Belle Glos and Meiomi stuff, Caymus Cabs, and come to think of it most of the reds put out by the Wagners. As long as they don't turn them into Conundrum"I wouldn't consider these "plonk", but then again, I'm no sommelier.  Maybe I'm better off in my ignorance where at least I enjoy most wines I try.  Not all of them, but most of t... • Apparently this is becoming an underground hit. Not mutated Pinot Noir grapes, or Pinot Blanc, etc., but Blanc de Noirs as the French would say, or here in America, white wine from red grapes. Here's the blurbThere are producers in Anderson Valley, Northern Italy, and Germany experimenting with this, though of course this is nothing new in Champa...
