Fruity on the nose. Balance fruit and acid in the mouth with a fruity not a trace of oak finish. Would buy again. Read More

  • Those are vineyards right? Used by several producers if I'm not mistaken? ... a value wine to cellar, try Columbia Crest. I have some from the late 1980s and it holds its own against many wines from Bordeaux. Cost about $3 a bottle. Today it's about $10. Nobody cellars it but they'd be pleasantly surprised if they did. Those Pinot Noirs are abo... Read More

  • Arbor Crest Syrah Columbia Valley 2011

I really enjoyed this wine. It is smooth with plenty of fruity body and a great flavor that stays on the tongue. If you're looking for super-bold then you might not like this but I prefer a wine that is smooth and enjoyable. I will definitely purchase this wine again. Read More

  • Columbia Crest Cabernet Sauvignon Horse Heaven Hills H3 2012

Nice deep ruby in color. Upon opening, stony nose with blackcurrant and black plum aromas with a stemmy, earthy quality. Hints of bay leaf. On the palate, it has a huge entry with dark flavors of bitter cocoa, espresso, roasted meat, bay leaf, fennel, cassis and a graphite note with a chalky texture. Lingers on black coffee and smoke. It's ... Read More

  • Columbia Crest Grand Estates Chardonnay 2012

After seeing praise for this wine, I had to try it. The nose has noticeable toast and honey notes but the fruit is dominated by the oak. There just isn't enough fruit to come through the oak. Been drinking Chardonnay for 40 years now and must say, this is no 90 point wine. Short finish and simple. My rating-- 84 Read More
