Clos de los Siete is a wine project conceived in 1998 by renown French winemakers Michel Rolland and Jean-Michel Arcaute. The idea was to produce a wine in the then largely untapped landscape of Tunuyan valley, south of Mendoza, Argentina. The name derives from the original seven wine industry investors who were first attached to the project. Their mission was to make wines in Argentina that rival some of the best in the world, without the use of fertilizers, pesticides and with traditional, time-tested methods. Since then, a collective of wine-making estates bearing the Clos de los Siete name have emerged and gained prominence.
