Patience, know-how, observation, intuition...these are the skills required to make and age our wines. Our passion and dedication were born in the renowned vineyards of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. In 1859, Christophe Ogier established a wine-merchants' company called Ogier at Fils, which reached its full potential under Antoine Ogier from 1859 onwards. In 1948, our business became that of a 'negociant-eleveur' a buyer and producer of wines. Some years later, a merger took place with the firm of Bessac Caves des Papes in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, on of the major merchants and producers of wine, which had started as a cooperage. Thus, Ogier Caves des Papes has became one of the foremost houses in the Rhone valley, based in the heart of the village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. – Description from AlexJelena
