Cliff House Wines on Snooth

  • Hi everyone.  My wife Sandra and I have been into wine for the past few years and that's led to a few trips to Napa Valley and related areas in 2012 and 2013.  We enjoy all wines but reds are our favorites.  We hosted our first wine tasting party last night and it was a fun event - sixteen wine lovers trying different wines in a blind tasting.  ... • Dave, have you followed the conversation about 1993 CdP?  The latest entry is from one of my favorite Forum correspondents, GregT.  GregT is very knowledgeable and very opinionated.  Thankfully, he also is able to support his opinions.  So, they do carry some weight with me.  Go over to that conversation and read his comments on drinking windows... • Hi, I am an accidental wine enthusiast. As part of a major remodeling project including our family room I revived my interest and enjoyment of wine. Our family room was redone using dark hickory planking and the room has a short wall next to our fireplace. This wall has always presented a challenge to make use of the space. I researched and sear... Read More

  • Syrah has been a perennial dark horse in the US market for much of the last two decades. It’s a grape that always seems to be on the verge of greatness, even exploding on the scene in the late 1990s under the Shiraz moniker and with a thick Aussie accent, but as we all know, Aussie Shiraz is so very 1990, and Syrah struggles to find a following ... • Disapointed with my search results for Temecula. Most were from 2010...Anyway, we are going on a family vacation in the area and I need some assistance in choosing a few wineries to hit.  Most of my research so far has been the wineries' websites, which are obviously biased.  However, based on this I am thinking about Doffo, Wiens, and Wilson Cr...
