I know there have been at least one or two conversations about buying wines at Costco, but I happened to catch the one hour documentary about Costco on CNBC, last night. They actually spent a significant portion of the program (8-9 minutes) about wine sales. Here is the thing that blew me away. Apparently, annual wine sales at Costco exceed a... Read More

Hi All, I have a few thoughts/questions that I would appreciate comments on. I have been some-what seriously drinking wine for about eight years now. I am 61 years old and before the "wine enlightenment", drank mostly micro-brewery and other not so chic types of beer. Every year now for the past four, I have held a blind tasting of different r... Need a little help on this matter. My wine guy suggested many wines to me most out of tanks, like it was better than sitting in oak. Can someone explain the main differences. My take so far is that American oak gives a Vanilla flavor to the wine(is this right or wrong)? And why do the French think their oak is better? Thanks Read More
