Château Timberlay

Château Timberlay (appellation Bordeaux Supérieur) is located in Saint-Andre-de-Cubzac. It symbolizes the Giraud family's wine-making roots, and is proof of the shipping company's commitment to producing much of the wine they sell. The family still lives in the imposing Château in the heart of the vineyard, surrounded by extensive grounds with impressively old trees. – Description from dvoristanac

Very smooth on entry, this is perhaps a touch closed down, though air does reveal nuanced hints of spearmint and leather accenting the dried red cherry and cinnamon dusted apple skins and plum fruit on the palate. The back end shows a little vanilla an... Read More

  • Château Timberlay Red Bordeaux Blend Bordeaux Supérieur Blason Timberlay 2011

    Snoothrank:

Notes of light grass and soft undertones of honey complement the core of gooseberry and yellow fruits on the nose. Perhaps a touch sweet on entry, this packs in a lot of bright acidity that helps to enliven the palate, making this succulent and citrussy in a well balanced, if slightly raw style. Light honey notes grace the finish but the rawness... Read More
