Over the years, generations of the Rauzan family succeeded to the running of the estate, as they were to become Counsellors of the Bordeaux Parliament as well. Rauzan-Segla wines grew in reputation in a remarkable way and were some of the most highly rated in Bordeaux. • Not, I repeat not, a thread about whether the 2009 Bordeaux is great, but more about whether you trust the reviews. After the 2009 en primeur week, the opinion is unsurprisingly about a brilliant "vintage of the decade". I think this is the 3rd in the last 10 years n'est-ce-pas? So do we need to review how we review the en primeur? Do you trust ... Read More

  • Chateau Rauzan-Segla Margaux 2005

    Snoothrank:

Very smooth mouthfeel without being flabby or overdone, this wine felt seamless from start to finish. Silky, smooth, well-integrated tannins. Good balance was maintained throug... Read More

  • Château Grangeotte 2006

    Snoothrank:

One of my favorite 2006 Bordeaux.A smooth red fruit nose with great depth. In the mouth, chocolate and tobacco complement the cassis fruit core. Structured, yet very smooth and mouthfilling. Silky and beautiful (a bit light) with a long finish on black fruit. Truly special. Read More
