Paul and Roger Zuger bought the estate, which then consisted of only 7 hectares (17 acres) of vineyards, on the 1st June 1955. After nearly 30 years of unflagging hard, painstaking work, Malescot has regained Its former status and ambition to climb ever higher. Today, Roger Zuger's son, Jean-Luc, supervises all the work In the vineyards and the making of our wine with its illustrious history, find yet it hasn't always been plain sailing for this fine estate, which as long ago as 1608 was producing some 30 to 40 casks on our "Curton", "Puch Sam Peyre", "Ourmatan" and "Lacoste" plots. – Description from JelaDragoljevic

  • Château Malescot St. Exupéry Red Bordeaux Blend Margaux 2001

    Snoothrank:

Brick red in the glass. The nose seems older than the 2000 drank the same night. Dirty red berry, dried leaves and menthol aromas. It's really pretty and feminine on the palate. Luch, raspberry, strawberry and currant. Good acid. Lovely floral notes. Nicely balanced, delicate flavors. 4/14/12 Read More

  • Château Malescot St. Exupéry Red Bordeaux Blend Margaux 2006

    Snoothrank:

Deep ruby in the glass. Dark and loamy kirsch aromas, as well as cassis. Loads of black and red berry fruit. On the palate, it's fruit forward. Lush and extracted with big tannin and fruit. It's layered with nice acid. Enjoyable with lush red and black fruit laced with oak. Really nice.4/14/12 Read More

  • Malescot-St-Exupery Bordeaux Blend Wine 2005

    Snoothrank:

Dark ruby in the glass. Beautiful tell-tale Margaux nose. Rich, pretty berry laced with florals and eucalyptus with some oak spice. On the palate, currant, cassis and flowers. Pretty, earthy and lush. Great structure and balance. It's both pretty and powerful, with wonderful finesse. Beautiful wine!4/14/12 Read More

  • Malescot Saint Exupery 2004

    Snoothrank:

Dense purple/red in the glass. Aromas of dark chocolate, menthol, black cherry, cassis, violets. Palate filled with anise, densely concentrated fruit of currant, cherry, licorice and almost a bubblegum note. Need time, but is nice.4/14/12 Read More

  • If I were anywhere near New York on the 29th I'd be going to this event. Great wine, interesting winemakers, and lots of old posters, art nouveau or otherwise. Why is it I'd rather have one of them on my wall then a Flash banner ad from the Web?Price seems like more than a bargain, and the money goes to charity, too....   ... Here's your chance ...
